I thought this was an awesome video to post since we are on our talk about semiotics. It explains and breaks down scenes from movies that we would usually not catch in everyday observations.
This is a great example of what I understand semiotics to be. The video points out the codes that he uses in his camerawork that make the viewer understand exactly what is happening, and he creates certain moods with how he films the scene. There are many codes in movies that we don't even realize that we are reading and responding to. This video was very helpful in exposing tactics in the way the film was shot that I wouldn't have even noticed had I not watched it.
